LAN Scan - Network Scanner App Reviews
Crashes Intermittently!
It’s ok, but would have been better if it did not crash so often and intermittently!
Vaporware
Just not working. No MAC address vendor resolution and only 1 device foound on my network (Not even found the mac running the app !)
poor
where is subnet scan??
Fast and Through
Very fast scanning and complete information on all devices attached to the network.
Great App
This app is great at gathering network information worked flawlessly for me.
This app works great. I use it for work and just for fun at home, poking around our network. I wish I could find an x11-based program that works this good.
Nice App
This app is awesome! i can find everything that is connected on my network. A+
I was looking for an alternative to Angry IP Scanner that would allow me to easily identify a non-responding device based on mac address. Based on the reviews, I thought Id give this a try. While its not a bad app, its definately not geared toward IT professionals. Some simple adjustments would greatly improve the app, so here are some suggestions that would make this truly great: 1) Option to display Scan results in Grid format (like a spreadsheet) as opposed to the current interface. If you have many devices, its cumbersome to have to scroll up and down to find something. Also, all relevant data (such as mac address, open ports, netBIOS name, etc) could be displayed in line with the detected IP address. 2)Search capability to help ID a device from a know identifier (in my case mac address) If youre just doing a quick sweep for open IPs, or if you want to know whats on the network quick, this app will do it. If you want more information, and you want it quickly and easily, the UI is just too cumbersome to be useful - I dont want to have to open a second window to scan for open ports; I dont want to have to click on each item individual to see mac addresses, etc.
Great Value!
Very fast and responsive. Just what I was looking for.
Its thorough and fast. I was searching for an equivilant for AutoScan Network. While Lan Scan isn’t Open Source it provides everything I need for a reasonable price.
LAN Scan quit unexpectedly
running OSX 10.6.8 and when I try to launch LAN Scan it crashes, every time.
Most popular Lan Scan app on the market!
Quick and efficient, Well done! -TG1-
OK Guys, this app is priced at a $1 and it’s worth much more than that! I was stuck setting up a few IP cameras. This app allowed me to scan them and figure out what ports they were listening on. Fantastic.
I am trying to use this with El Capatain and it crashes on every scan option but Bonjour services. This isn’t very useful if the device I am looking for isn’t an Apple product.
Just what I need
Scan the network quickly and show the MAC addresses and port addresses accurately. App is also small in size. Highly recommended.

Crashes for everything by Bonjour Services USELESS

Thank you for the port scanner!
